The RI Raptors are the 2014 New England Amateur Athletic Union fall ball champions. The Raptors own the title two weeks ago. The Raptors shut out the RI Bombers with a 6-0 win on a Saturday. On the Sunday morning, they shut out the South County Riptides – who hosted the tournament – 3-0. Those two wins put the Raptors into Sunday afternoon’s semifinal game, where they faced the RI Green Monsters. The Raptors were the home team and were losing 6-3 into the bottom of the sixth, but they came all the way back to win. The win advanced them to Sunday night’s final, where they faced the Dirt Dawgs. The Dirt Dawgs took a 6-0 lead in the first inning, but the Raptors continued to play hard and at the end of six innings the game was tied at 8-8. In extra innings, the Raptors continued to fight and won 10-8 in the eighth.
