Two men and a teenager have been charges in connection with a pair of residential breaking and entering incidents on Iris Drive and Edgewood Avenue that occurred the same morning, according to police.

Michael Fernando Aurelio, 21, of 138 Arcadia Drive in Cranston, was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with breaking and entering into a dwelling and resisting arrest. A 17-year-old male was taken into custody at the same time. Police reportedly apprehended the two while searching the Iris Drive area following a report of a break-in.

David Schneck, 41, of 160 Broad St. in Providence, was arrested shortly thereafter when police responded to a break-in report on Edgewood Avenue. He was reportedly located in the basement of the residence, and had been attempting to remove copper pipe.

Schneck is charged with breaking and entering into a dwelling, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault.

Chief of Police Col. Michael J. Winquist praised the work of officers.

“These investigations were in addition to over 30 members of the Cranston Police Department who maintained a presence at all public and private schools throughout the city [Oct.8],” the chief said in a statement.
