A May tradition

Posted

As it has done for years, the Rotary Club of Warwick held its May breakfast and, as has become the tradition in recent years, Kent Hospital hosted the event. Proceeds raised from the breakfast go to the club’s charities fund that benefits numerous community non-profit efforts as well as The Kent Employee Emergency Program (K.E.E.P), which was started in October 2008. KEEP is funded and administered by Kent Hospital employees, for Kent Hospital employees. Those who apply have experienced an unforeseen catastrophic event exhausting all their means. Last year, the fund granted nine requests for a total of $16,906. Since it was founded, KEEP has approved 115 applications for a total of $230,682 in grants, paid directly to third parties.
