On Oct. 4, Edgewood Congregational Church, located at 1788 Broad St. in Cranston, held its annual Blessing of the Animals. An outdoor worship service was held by Pastor Gary Bagley and co-server Jametta Alston at 10 a.m., followed by the blessing at 11 a.m. Defenders of Animals took pictures of pets being blessed, which were available for a $10 donation.
