Unreeled Film Series begins at Cranston Public Library

On Saturday, March 14, the Cranston Public Library will hold the first installment of its “Unreeled Film Series” at 2 p.m. Films for this series have been selected, not for traditional merit, but as examples of cinematic endeavors that have flopped, placing them in a category of movies that are “so bad, they’re good.” Audience members will be invited to laugh and critique aloud at the spectacles of wooden acting, predictable plotlines and low-budget props.

The free series will take place on additional Saturdays, March 28, April 11, April 25 and May 2. Featured film titles, descriptions and ratings are available on the Cranston Public Library website at www.cranstonlibrary.org/unreeled-film-series.

The parade and accompanying music helped the soldiers celebrate their Irish roots, as well as reconnect with fellow Irishmen serving in the English army. (Source: St. Patrick’s Day Fun Facts)
