Cranston celebrates independence
READY, AIM, FIRE: The Pawtuxet Rangers show off their muskets as they march in the parade.

The oldest Fourth of July parade in the United States takes place in Bristol, but each year, Cranston is represented both on the parade route and in the crowds. This year was no different, with the Pawtuxet Rangers, Cranston educators and the Rhode Island Shriner’s among the local participants. (Herald photos by Jen Cowart)
