NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing on the following proposed Ordinances will be held before the Finance Committee on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. Council Chambers, 869 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI. pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter.

Complete copies of the proposed Ordinances are available for public review at the City Clerk’s Office and the Cranston Central Library and can be viewed on the City’s website cranstonri.com under calendar by clicking on the meeting date.

“Individuals requesting interpreter services for the deaf or hard of hearing must notify the City Clerk’s Office at 461-1000 ext. 3197 seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the hearing date.”

PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO.

4-15-04 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2015, ENTITLED “BUSINESS LICENSES AND REGULATIONS”

(Bus Shelter Permit Fees)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section1: Chapter 5.52 entitled Outdoor Advertising is hereby amended by adding thereto the following new section:

5.52.130 – Permit fees

a) Bus Shelter/Advertising Permit – All persons, corporations or other entities who construct, own, lease, operate, maintain or manage a bus shelter including advertising space on City-owned property, shall pay to the City of Cranston an annual permit fee for each such site in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
