Frances A. (Crossley) Linehan, RN, 85, passed away peacefully after a 16 year illness, Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was the wife of the late William P. Linehan.

She was a daughter of the late Cedric and Bernadette (Bourbonnais) Crossley. Frances was employed as an RN at St. Joseph Hospital, Sunnyview Nursing Home, Bannister Nursing Center and J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center. She was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, Class of 1949 and St. Joseph School of Nursing, Class of 1952. She was deeply spiritual and devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Ministry Institute for the Catholic Diocese of Providence, Our Lady of Peace Spiritual Life Christian Leadership Program and a communicant, Eucharistic Minister and pastoral visitor at St. William Church.

She was the beloved mother of Marie F. B. Andolfo (Stephen), Colleen M. Grant (the late Donald), William J. Linehan (Carol), Anne F. Keedy (Steve), Jayne M. Gardner (Rolland), Teresa E. Linehan and Frances B. Carroll; sister of Marie Heatherman, Cedric Crossley, Edward Crossley, Sr. Mary Cedric Crossley, RSM, Richard Crossley and William Crossley; grandmother of Dennis and Brian Grant, Eric Gardner, Nicholas Andolfo, William Linehan, Benjamin Gardner, Kathryn Linehan-Nagele, Dean Gardner, Ryan Linehan, Sophie Keedy, Caleb Gardner, Michael Keedy, Stephanie Carroll and Jason Carroll and great-grandmother of four great-grandsons. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday, October 24, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. William Church, Pettaconsett Ave. at 10 a.m. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-8 p.m.
