Antonio’s Trattoria was names as the 2014 recipient of the Western Cranston Garden Club’s Civic Beautification Award. This award has been given each year to local businesses in the Cranston area by a vote from the club’s members. The club’s criteria is to look for exterior displays of color and designed used either in a garden setting or in plant containers that beautifies and enhances the community. On Nov. 14, Garden Club co-presidents Linda Alves and Sharron Casey along with Beautification co-chairwoman Sally-Ann Brown and Ketty Senerchia presented Anthony Micheletti, owner of Antonio’s Restaurant for the past 30 years, a plaque of recognition for his outstanding array of assorted colors and foliage displayed in a plant container for all to view and enjoy during their dinning pleasure. Pictured, from left, are Brown, Casey, Micheletti, Senerchia and Alves. (Herald photo by John Cardullo)
