“Gremlin” Patrick Molgren, left, and “Crazy Clown” Joe Fazio will be on guard Friday night when the award-winning Haunted Labyrinth House opens for its 30th season at the Rejoice in Hope Youth Center – a.k.a. CYO Center – at 804 Dyer Ave. in Cranston. The first of six weekends will run through Sunday. Other dates are: Oct. 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26 and 30-31. At right, Hope Valloney – a Warwick resident and pre-school teacher in Lincoln – will play a major role in the event’s security and overall operation. Sunday, she joined her cast at the 27th annual Apple Festival in Johnston and later entered the annual apple pie eating contest. She wound up the winner by being the first of eight adults ages 18 and over to eat a large apple pie. (Herald photos by Pete Fontaine)
