On Monday, Nov. 16, b.good in Garden City held a day long food collection for CCAP’s Lending a Helping Hand Food Drive which will help feed 300 families in need this Thanksgiving. Items needed were canned corn, canned green beans, canned cranberry sauce, boxed mashed potatoes, piecrusts and canned pie filling. Pictured at b.good during the drive are, from left, CCAP Vice President of Social Services Joanne Gregory, CCAP CEO Joanne McGunagle and b.good District Manager Anthony DePaiva. In return, b.good offered up a choice of a free sandwich, kale and grain bowl or salad for anyone who brought in two items. At left, Kim Spooner of East Greenwich saw the notice on Facebook and decided to come to take part.
