Block DeVos nomination

To the Editor:

My name is Simone Pellegrino, I am 11 years old and attend Park View Middle School.

Public schools are endangered of being privatized by Mrs. Betsy DeVos. DeVos lacks experience with public schools, she has never worked in a public school, never been to a public school, never sent her children to a public school. DeVos wants to give students vouchers to go to private schools, but vouchers only pay some of the price to go to private schools and take money away from public schools. When public school money is caught we lose fun things like, sports, robotics, music, art and so much more.

I think just because we don't have a vote doesn't mean we don't have a voice. I think on January 30 every public school student should flood their senator's office with phone calls, urging their senator to block her nomination.
