A Public Hearing will be heard before the Safety Services & Licenses Committee on Monday, July 11, 2011 @ 7:00 p.m. Cranston Council Chambers, City Hall, 869 Park Avenue, City Hall, Cranston, R.I. pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter on the following proposed ordinancs.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 6-11-3 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 5.12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005 , ENTITLED “ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSES”

(Expansion of Service Permit Expiration and Renewal)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1. Title5 Chapter 12, entitled “Alcoholic Beverage Licenses’ is hereby amended by adding the following

Sec. 5.12.101: Application Process and Fees

Any expansion of service of alcoholic beyond the originally licenses premises shall require the filing of an application for a permit of expansion of service. Said application shall be on a form approved by the Safety Services and Licenses Committee, and shall be required to be advertised and notice given to abutters as required for the issuance of a new Class B license. The applicant shall be responsible for all advertising costs.

The fee for a seasonal expansion permit shall be $250.00. Seasonal permits must be renewed annually. A per diem permit shall be $50.00 per diem.

All seasonal permits shall expire on December 1st and shall run with the applicant’s alcohol beverage license and shall be renewed simultaneously with said alcohol license and in the same manner., This shall apply to all permits presently issued regardless of expiration date.

Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 6-11-4 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 10.32 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC” ENTITLED “STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS”

(18 Mecca Street – limited No Parking)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1. Chapter 10.32 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:

10.32.210 No Parking –Between [8:00 a.]4:00 p. m. and 8:00p.m.

Between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., no vehicle shall remain standing on the northern side of Mecca Street in front of the premises numbered 18 Mecca Street between National Grid Pole 3 and National Grid Pole 4.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1. Chapter 10.32, Section .020 entitled “ Stop Intersections-Enumerated” is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:

Crescent Avenue at its intersection with Doane Street

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1. Chapter 10.12, Section .040 entitled “No Parking on Certain Streets-Generally” by adding thereto the following:

Seaview Avenue, southerly and westerly sides, from Fort Avenue easterly and southerly to cul-de-sac and Seaview Avenue, easterly side, from National Grid pole #3 southerly to #4.

Section 2. Chapter 10.12, Section .570 entitled “Two Hour Parking-Generally” by deleting therefrom the following:

(Sea View Avenue, both sides, from Fort Avenue easterly and southerly to dead end).

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
