The sixth-grade students at Oaklawn Elementary School recently hosted an Ancient Civilization Fair, complete with passports stamped with handmade cultural rubber stamps, and examples of food, clothing, armor, jewelry and other artifacts. The hands-on project was the result of a great deal of in-depth research and study by the students in both classes, and the guests touring the civilizations included family, friends and other students from Oaklawn. Presentations included speeches, iMovies, Power Point presentations, timelines, family trees and other detailed artistic displays.
