On June 25, family and friends gathered at Cranston Country Club for the 18th annual Michael J. Palmer Memorial Golf Tournament. This year, organizers were able to donate $10,000 in Mike’s memory to Camp Surefire, a weeklong camp for children and teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes. The camp is held each year at the University of Rhode Island’s W. Alton Jones Campus in West Greenwich. Pictured are Ray Palmer, Ann Palmer Wardrip, Ron Palmer, Dr. Fox from Camp Surefire, camp volunteer Troy and John Palmer at the dinner following the tournament.
