Cranston Mayor Allan Fung led a delegation of Cranstonians who marched in Sunday’s Federal Hill Merchants Association Columbus Day Parade in Providence. While Fung – the Republican candidate for governor – was accompanied by city and campaign staffers along the line march along Federal Hill’s famed Atwells Avenue, another large Cranston-based fraternal group was also part of the highly-successful parade. In keeping with tradition, the Rhode Island Shriners, above left, had everyone from individual leaders to their Oriental Band, famous Calopy and popular Shrine clowns, who either walked along the parade route in costumes or rode in their tiny cars. Below left, Fung, Chief of Staff Carlos Lopez, mayoral assistant Scott Millard and Director of Constituent Services Jeff Barone were among those who marched in Sunday’s parade.
