Robert Boman Abram, 89, died May 22, 2014 in Dover, New Hampshire. He was the devoted husband of Joyce (Miller) Abram for 64 years.

Born Cranston on Feb. 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Raymond Abram Sr. and Ruth (Boman) Abram. He was a graduate of Cranston HS and Bryant College. He served his country as a Medic in World War II with The Seabee’s and was stationed in Hawaii.

He was a Sales Engineer for Madison Industries, Lincoln, RI but lived in Warwick where he was a Cub Scout leader and a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, the Whirl A Way Square Dance Club, an avid golfer and gardener. He enjoyed travel with his wife to many foreign destinations. Upon retirement in 1980, they moved to Inverness, Florida and later to Union and Dover, NH. He was known to relax and enjoy a Rusty Nail from time to time. He was loved dearly by his family and will be deeply missed.

He was the father of Wayne C. Abram and his wife, Ann Nelson Abram of Union NH, Gregory R. Abram and his wife, Michelle Mochary Abram of Warren, Richard D. Abram of Providence, Kathleen Darnley and her husband, Fred Darnley of Greensboro, North Carolina. Her was the grandfather of Gregory R. Abram Jr. and his wife, Rose Marie Abram, Allison Abram, Christine Abram, Gretchen Dierck and her husband, Casey, and Kirsten Darnley. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ian M. Darnley, and his brother, Raymond Abram Jr.

There will be a Service on Saturday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m. in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Ave. Warwick. Internment will follow in Pawtuxet Cemetery, Warwick.
