Thanks to GameStop in Chapel View, Barnes & Noble in Warwick, and Rhode Island Comic Con, Cranston’s Central Library hosted its first Mini Comic Con event on Friday, July 15. Fans of all ages gathered together, taking pictures with “Star Wars” stormtroopers and other popular sci-fi and superhero characters such as Batman, Poison Ivy, Joker, and Raven; playing video games such as “Minecraft” and “Super Mario Kart”; chatting with Sean Fay Wolfe, author of the “Elementia Chronicles” trilogy, as he autographed their books; creating their own comic books; and watching the magic of 3D printing. Guests were given a card upon entering the event, and by visiting six of the 10 available stations, were eligible for participation in a raffle. (Text and photos by Jen Cowart)
