Salvatore L. Savattere

Salvatore L. Savattere, 78, passed away October 20, 2014.

Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Jack Savattere and Josephine (Ranaldi) Savattere-Garguilo. He served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean War as a radioman. He was thee owner of Cranston Auto Ignition, Cranston St., Cranston for 48 years.

He is survived by his six children: M. Celeste DeQuarttro, Linda Smith-Trowbridge, Jacqui Savattere, Mark R. Savattere, Teresa S. Matteson and Elaine M. Savattere, Jr. Also survived by nine grandchildren: Bobbie-Jean Smith, Christine Smith-Enos, Stephanie Savattere-Estella, Xzaver Savattere-McDaniel, Salvatore A. Savattere-Stewart, Marcus Savattere, Alicia Savattere, Alison Savattere and Sydney Matteson, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Aurelia Savattere. He is also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren.

His ex-wife Elaine Savattere and his wife, Teresa Savattere, also survive him.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at the VFW Hall, Haven Ave., Cranston on Saturday, November 15 at 1-4 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
