Spring Carnival & Vendor Fair returning for 2nd year

Posted

Sponsored by Chester Barrows School PTB (Parent-Teachers of Barrows), the Spring Carnival & Vendor Fair is returning to the Edgewood/Park View neighborhood this spring.

Park View Middle School will host the event on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will offer snacks, games, cotton candy, popcorn, raffles, face painting and more.

More than 20 vendors and community organizations will be on hand, offering everything from food and home products to fitness and family information. Organizers are pleased to welcome Tastefully Simple, Presto Strange O, Pink Zebra, Community Against Bullying in Schools (CABINS RI), Hush Little Baby Cakes, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Wildtree, Lemongrass, Books Are Wings, Brielle’s Bowtique, Cranston Family Center, Scentsy, DeLuca & Sons Landscaping, Melissa & Doug, In a Pikle, Jamberry Nails, Blue Monkeey, Traditional Martial Arts RI and Herbalife.

In addition, the fair will offer carnival-style games, face painting, raffles and snacks (cotton candy, popcorn, corn dogs, chips, drinks, etc.). Admission is free and this event is open to the public.

All profits will go directly toward educational enrichment for the students at Chester Barrows. This is a great event that supports local businesses and merchants.

Chester W. Barrows School is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School located in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston, near Roger Williams Park. The school serves children in kindergarten through grade five, with the mission, in cooperation with parents and the community, to foster an educational and social environment that prepares students to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens and productive workers.

UPDATE: Last minute additions to the fair are TD Production (Your DJ for all occasions!), Sweet Treats by Lori Ann, Origami Owl, Blue Pearl Salon, Juice Plus+ and Annie B's Honey Farm!!! We also will have a LIVE MARTIAL ARTS DEMONSTRATION from 12:15-12:30 in the small gym (games will be closed temporarily!!) which will be AMAZING and is provided by Traditional Martial Arts RI. Be sure to come out and support our local community partners and a great group of students. See you there!
