To the Editor:
The lack of bulk trash pickup is already causing excess garbage on sidewalks. To solve this problem, I propose free quarterly bulk pickup. Without it, we’re going to see more garbage on the streets and also dumped in our parks.
Let’s keep Cranston clean by offering this service the same week taxes are due. Four times a year isn’t a lot to ask in order to help residents maintain a sanitary yard, neighborhood and city.
In addition, landlords of multi-family units should be given a landlord’s garbage can. Landlords of two- to three-family units do not have a place to put trash when working on their properties.
