Amid an unusual backdrop of snowmen and snow scenes, as music filled the dining room, The Bridge at Cherry Hill's Activity Department Director Breein Ferri and Assistant Jean Rivard served cookies and punch during their mid-afternoon social.

The Bridge at Cherry Hill’s entertainer was Nick King, whose long career in the music industry includes performing on Broadway and Las Vegas. He accompanied Liza Minnelli during his already highly successful career. The social event included songs made famous by iconic entertainers like Frank Sinatra and Frankie Valli, who is still performing today at age 83. King belted out songs that residents and their guests enjoyed, along with the special refreshments, for two hours.

“This guy is really talented,” said James Maccarone, who lives in Cranston and was visiting his 100-year-old father, Mario “Jim” Maccarone. “He even sounds like Frankie Valli.”

Jennifer Burns, the marketing and sales director at The Bridge at Cherry Hill, said, “Today, we celebrated a Winter Wonderland. Our residents really enjoyed the afternoon and even sang along with Nick [King] when he sang some of their old favorites, especially when he did “New York, New York.””
