Gasoline prices in Rhode Island remain the same this week, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA Northeast’s November 25 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.49 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is 10 cents below the national average of $2.59. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 15 cents higher at $2.64 per gallon.
“Thanksgiving travelers will benefit from flat prices this week for regular unleaded gasoline – the price is unchanged from last week, and roughly 15 cents lower than at this time last year here in Rhode Island,” said Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of AAA Public and Government Affairs. “Consider filling your tank today for your holiday journey, as increased demand from travelers later this week could boost prices at the pump.”
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 34 cents, from a low of $2.35 to a high of $2.69.
