Art Festival takes over Garden City Center
THINK BIG: The Big Nazo Puppets were a big hit during the second annual Garden City Art Festival, produced by Festival Fete, this past weekend. In total, 140 artists and 50 vendors and sponsors participated in the two-day event that was free to the public in Garden City Shopping Center.
YOUNG ARTIST: Andy Elie, age 11, was one of the younger artists on display at the festival. Elie has been painting for just about one year and was inspired when on a field trip to Peace Love Studio in Providence. He estimated that he sold at least 10 paintings during the two-day art festival.
LOOKING UP: Perhaps having the best view of the second annual Garden City Art Festival this past weekend was stilt walker “Trevor,” who amazed the crowds with his talents.
CREATION STATION: At Creation Station, designed for young artists to test their skills and creativity, is 4-year-old Declan Bachner, who is a student at Little Shepard pre-school.
FOLLOW ME: “Mary Poppins,” played by Linda Peck, greeted the crowd and entertained those who attended the Garden City Art Festival. An estimated 10,000 to 12,000 people attended the event.
