The statewide DECA competition took place last week, and the students at the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center were well represented, bringing home more than four dozen medals, nearly 40 of them gold. Those students who medaled at the gold level will have the opportunity to travel to the national DECA competition which will be held in Anaheim, California, over the April vacation week.
The students who medaled at the gold, silver and bronze levels are:
Gold: Victoria Beck, Jillian Emerick and Bailey Morgan, Sports and Entertainment Marketing Options Research; Zacharias Warren, Joshua Shaughnessy and Mark Doire, Business Services Operations Research; Madison Pine and Gianni Verduchi, Buying and Merchandising Operations Research; Cameron Bissitt, Jarred D'Amico and Alexander Micheletti, Finance Operations Research; Cecilia Spooner and Medha Reddy, Learn and Earn Project; Joshua Forgue, Michael Degnan and Joshua Pereira, Financial Literacy Promotion Project; Morgan DiMaio, Cassandra Giarrusso and Theodore Ruggieri, Community Service Project; Marina Moceri, Megan Kenneally and Nicholas Poulos, Public Relations Project; Tara Ayrassian, Alayna Harview and Matthew Tocco, Entrepreneurship Promotion Project; Michael Ragosta and Kendall Majcher, Creative Marketing Project; John DeRouin, Zachary Minicucci, Andrew Spirito, Christopher Konturas, Austin Coyne and Mario Perretta, Independent Business Plan; Brett Traficante, Brad Theis and William Such, Franchise Business Plan; Nik SanAntonio, Nicholas Bordieri and Christopher Manfredo, Innovation Plan; Rachel Cappalli, Business Growth Plan.
