Hobin, performs in production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Assumption College's Department of Art, Music and Theatre presented a concert-staged performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat from April 20-22. Rebecca Hobin of Cranston performed in this production as a member of the chorus.

Simeone receives multiple awards

In its 49th Annual Awards Recognition Ceremony, Curry College students who have achieved excellence in academics, student life, the arts, and athletics, as well as recognizes Curry staff and faculty for their efforts. Cranston student Bianca Simeone received the Colonel Pride Award.

Curry College is proud to announce that Bianca Simeone was also inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society in Sociology.

Simeone has been inducted into the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society as well. Founded in 1971, the objective of the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society is to promote and recognize academic excellence at Curry College. Members serve as a resource for the academic deans and the faculty and recommend ways the academic environment of the college can be enriched.

Irizarry inducted into honor society

Curry College is proud to announce that Kenneth Irizarry of Cranston was inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society in Sociology, during a ceremony on the Curry College campus on Thursday, April 26.

Corvese receives awards and honors

In its 49th Annual Awards Recognition Ceremony, Curry College students who have achieved excellence in academics, student life, the arts, and athletics, as well as recognizes Curry staff and faculty for their efforts. In all, more than 70 awards were presented to deserving students, faculty, and staff. Cranston student, Alexander Corvese received the Male Athlete of the Year award as well as an academic achievement award for being on the dean’s list every year since his enrollment at Curry College.

Curry College is proud to announce that Corvese has also been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the official communication honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA).

Fino recognized for academic achievement

Curry College is proud to announce Courtney Fino of the Class of 2018 of Cranston have been named to the Dean's List every year during their enrollment at the College.

Sczerbinski chosen for student leadership

The Assumption College Office of Student Affairs has announced that Kara Sczerbinski of Cranston, has been selected among a significant pool of applicants to serve as a 2018 Orientation Leader.

The Assumption College Orientation Leaders, guided by the Catholic principles of Assumptionist tradition, are dedicated to supporting incoming first year students during their transition to college. Interactive and collaborative experiences during three different orientation sessions in June - led by the orientation leaders - help both students and parents alike reflect on what it means to be an emerging adult in a college atmosphere. Orientation leaders will guide incoming students on their journey of becoming individuals of critical intelligence, thoughtful citizenship, and compassionate service as they embark upon their undergraduate journey.

Nolte Inducted into honor society

Daniel Nolte of Cranston has been inducted into the University of Alabama's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

The Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's most prestigious academic honor society. Students are elected to membership on the basis of outstanding academic achievement in the liberal arts and sciences.

Cerbo inducted into honor society, awarded for leadership

The Assumption College Department of Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology has announced that Alexander Cerbo of Cranston has become a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society in sociology. Cerbo, Class of 2018, was inducted into the honor society this spring.

Cerbo was also honored with the College's prestigious Crown and Shield Award. The Award recognizes students who have distinguished themselves throughout their tenure at the College in the areas of leadership and community service. Award recipients have protected (shield) and furthered (crown) the interests of the student body and Assumption as a whole.

Cranston students earn Bryant honors

Bryant University is committed to the pursuit, recognition, and celebration of academic excellence, and extends congratulations to the Cranston students who have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2017 semester. Included in the list are Catherine Benetti, Kyle Burd, Ariana Ciunci, Christopher Dodd, Samuel Dulieu, Bridget Feng, Joesephine Heng, Gisele Iafrate, Emily Nunez, Jacob Rich and Allison Roca.

Warren named to dean's list

Morrisville State College recently announced that Casey Warren of Cranston was named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester. Casey is a major in the Animal Science - Equine Science & Management program.

Greene casted in performance of "Avenue Q"

SUNY New Paltz student Evan Greene of Cranston is a member of the cast and crew for the production of "Avenue Q".

Dodd named to president’s list

Bryant University is committed to the pursuit, recognition, and celebration of academic success. Christopher Dodd of Cranston has been named to the president’s list for the fall 2017 semester.
