The health of residents is on the minds of local businesses throughout Cranston.

A community-wide Health Fair & Blood Drive, sponsored by Olympia Fitness & Performance at 10 Worthington Road, will be held at the fitness center on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This special event will bring together professionals from throughout the city to raise awareness about health and wellness and to introduce event-goers to local health specialists. Hosting alongside Olympia Fitness in this three-hour long Health Fair are Restore PT, Power of Touch Massage and Northeast Cryotherapy.

This event is free to the public. The Rhode Island Blood Center will also be holding a blood drive throughout the duration of the event. Come support the center’s efforts to get 15 pints of much-needed blood.

The event will feature a long list of health and wellness professionals who specialize in everything from nutritional counseling to blood pressure screening to skin care to injury prevention, and much more.

Along with Olympia Fitness, Restore PT, Power of Touch Massage and Northeast Cryotherapy, there will more than 15 other vendors represented. These vendors include RI Orthodontic Group, Goal Foods, Van Eeghen Pharmacy, Atlantic Audiology, Sienna and Co., Flo Destressing Center, Imago Yoga Lab, Malchar Wellness and Chiropractor, Life Coaches, Mindful Practitioners, an Aflac representative and Medicare consultant, and a firefighter who will provide a CPR/First Aid demonstration, among many others. Special guest Ron Roberts of L’il Rhody Sports Talk Radio will be on hand as well.

Live presentations will be given all morning, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with a Dry Needling demonstration by Dr. Amanda Zarriello of Restore PT.

There will also be a number of raffle prizes donated by the participating vendors and outside businesses. The raffle money will benefit Cranston high school athletic programs.

For more information or for a full list of participating vendors, contact Zarriello at restoreptri.com.
