Cranston’s Alexandra Coppa vies for Miss America title

Posted

Cranston’s own Alexandra Coppa is on her way to the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, and the Pub on Park held a fundraiser on Sunday, June 24 to help with the costs associated.

“It was a really special night and, as my husband and I later discussed, it really gave us a chance to spend time with all of the special people in our lives. We feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and are so thankful for all of their love and support for Allie. My brother-law-law, Rick Harris, put together the event for Allie and Mayor Fung even stopped by,” said Allie’s mom, Teresa Coppa.

Allie was overwhelmed and thankful for all the support shown at the event.

“ We had food provided by Ristorante Pizzico, which was delicious, and lots of entertainment. Bobby Braciola performed, as well as some other comedians from John Perotta’s Comedy Factory. Dj Positivity is a Monster provided the music and we did both a raffle and silent auction. I’m so grateful for the amount of support I received last night, and there was a bigger turnout than I expected,” she said.
