Tracey Henebury of Cranston was recently recognized at the Rhode Island Hospitality Association’s (RIHA) annual Stars of Industry awards banquet. Henebury won the Supplier Representative of the Year award. To win she had to be nominated and then receive the most votes from the members of Rhode Island Hospitality Association. Henebury serves as the Area Manager for Performance Foodservice – Springfield.  Performance Foodservice is one of the nation's leading foodservice distributors, delivering food and related products to more than 80,000 customers across the United States.

The association’s annual Stars of the Industry event identifies outstanding members of the hospitality industry who have demonstrated professionalism in performing their jobs and have contributed to the positive image of the Hospitality Industry in Rhode Island.

RIHA represents over 700 foodservice, hotels, vendors and hospitality members in the state of Rhode Island and has been the voice of the hospitality and foodservice industries in the state since 1963.

“Congratulations to Tracey Henebury for earning the honor of Supplier Representative of the Year from the Rhode Island Hospitality Association,” said Jeffrey Derick, VP of Sales from Performance Foodservice. “The association's annual Stars of the Industry event identifies outstanding members of the hospitality industry who have demonstrated professionalism in performing their jobs and have contributed to the positive image of the Hospitality Industry in Rhode Island.

According to Derick, "We can all be proud of our representation in the State of Rhode Island. We have gone from a few individuals that worked hard to sell a couple hundred thousand dollars a week four to five years ago to a group that is now pushing on $1 million dollars a week in sales and has relationships with many of the strongest and most recognized restaurants in the state."

“Not sure how many people can honestly say they love their job,” said Henebury, “but I am definitely one of them. The hours may be endless but moments like this make all the obstacles in the food industry all worth it! I can’t thank my customers enough. Without your trust and commitment this wouldn’t be possible.”

Henebury has been an Account Manager for Performance Food Group for the past five years.

“The Food industry is very competitive,” said Henebury. “Building relationships is very important. From my volume restaurants to my smaller family owned restaurant, each one of you is a priority.”

“To my chefs, I hold a special relationship with each of you instilling there is no such thing as cutoff, I am always there, “said Henebury. “To the brokers, to my buyers, to the drivers I thank all of you for your contribution to my success.”

In addition to Henebury’s win, several Performance Foodservice customers received awards too, including Newport Harbor Group, Blackie's Bulldog Tavern and Brickhouse Pub.

“Performance Food Group, an organization that I am not only proud to be part of but also looking forward to our future success as a Team,” said Henebury.

Henebury is married 19 years to Mike and together they have a 12-year-old daughter, Talia.
