Dueling Artists support temple’s move

Posted

The paint flew on March 31 at Temple Torat Yisrael on Park Avenue during “Dueling Artists 2012,” which served as the temple’s final fundraiser at the Cranston location. The new Temple will be located at 1251 Middle Road in East Greenwich.

Featuring the artistic talent of Camille Chedda, Ashley Potter, Liliya Krys and Mary Ann Rossoni, the event drew approximately 150 people in attendance. As the artists painted in front of the live audience, attendees socialized, enjoyed appetizers, wine and dessert and music by “Here To Stay.” Barbara Morse Silva, of Channel 10, served as both emcee and auctioneer.

“The total is unknown at this time however, all the funds raised will be used to support Temple Torat Yisrael and the moving expenses and the expenses of running the temple to allow us to have the current programs and do the social action that we do,” said Susan Smoller, president of Temple Torat Yisrael. “We will be moving to East Greenwich this year and the money will be used for the support of the entire Temple Torat Yisrael. We thank all the people who attended and the generosity of the patrons.”
