Those interested in free skills training to begin a career in sales, customer service, call center services, and/or banking, are invited to an information session to ask questions and enroll in a course that begins November 13. Info sessions will be held at Westerly Education Center (http://www.westerlyedcenter.org/) on October 19, 24 and 26 from 10:00 a.m.to noon. No experience is necessary.
NRI Career Academy together with Community College of Rhode Island and Roger Williams University School of Continuing Studies and Rhode Island College offers this program (http://www.westerlyedcenter.org/news/WEC_NRI/). They work with area employers to secure jobs for class participants who complete the course. The employers include AAA Northeast, Amica, Bank of America, Citizens Bank, Coastway Community Bank, CVS Health, Navigant Credit Union, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and Pawtucket Credit Union.
Additionally, NRI Career Academy will help students connect with resources needed to overcome employment and training barriers.
