Fathers and grandfathers are free at Roger Williams Park Zoo on Father’s Day, Sunday June 16, when accompanied by one paying child.

Spend the day visiting 40 acres of beautiful surroundings and experience the joy of wild life from around the globe.

While visiting check out the Zoo’s new exhibit Faces of the Rainforest. Guests will feel like they are deep in the heart of South America as they explore a world full of wonder and mystery. While in the Rainforest, make sure and find the baby tinamou in the sunken forest, locate the two sloths in their favorite places, and marvel at the Howler monkey and Saki monkey families as they enjoy the day outside. Exit the magnificent new exhibit and witness the flamingoes and learn how you can be a face of the Rainforest.

Take dad and/or grandpa out to lunch at either Serengeti or Wilderness Cafe then get some ice cream or try a delicious Toucan Twist at the Sweet Shop.

Don’t forget to check out the activities at Explore and Soar including the Soaring Eagle Zip ride as well as a ride on a camel and train. And, before you leave take some time to play in Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard where you can spend time in the CVS Treehouse, at the Drip Drop Water Garden or just relaxing in a hammock.

Spend your Father’s Day at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Carousel Village where it is always an adventure. Roger Williams Park Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For complete details visit rwpzoo.org.
