School was closed for the Primary Election on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, but the students at Cranston High School East decided to honor the anniversary in their own way. Roughly 45 students and several members of the faculty came to East on their day off to clean up the school grounds, following a brief ceremony to honor the occasion and reflect on what the day means to the students.
