Going for the gold at Cornerstone

Cornerstone School, located at 665 Dyer Avenue, held their annual Family Day celebration on June 29. This year’s theme was the Olympics, and activities included a variety of Olympic crafts and games, adapted to meet the needs of children with widely varying abilities/disabilities. The event also included music and dancing, a moon bounce, water tables, face painting, cookout and crafts. Cornerstone is a private year-round special education school located in Cranston, serving children aged 18 months through 21 years from throughout the state. Cornerstone has an integrated early childhood program and a school-aged program for students with severe and profound disabilities. Family Day is their annual celebration for the students and their families, a chance to celebrate the year with family and friends.
