On July 9, Rhode Home Rescue held a dog adoption event at Pet Supplies Plus in Garden City Center. They are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility to house their rescue dogs and are dependent on foster families to help house dogs in need.

NEW ADOPTION: Adopted at the July 9, Rhode Home Rescue event at Pet Supplies Plus in Garden City Center is Opie Taylor, a 2-year-old Red Bone Coon Hound Mix, who went home with his new family; Leora and Lily Elkins. They had already been pre-approved for adoption.

Foster homes give dogs a sense of security and helps the dog transition from being a stray into their permanent home and increasing their chances of successful placement in a permanent loving home.

A total of seven adoptable dogs were present and three left the event for their forever homes that day as they were already pre-approved for adoption.

There next adoption event, “Adopt Till You Drop” will be on July 15 at Camp Bow Wow in West Warwick. This event will include adoptable dogs from many adoption agencies.
