Jean M. Bianchini, age 77, died March 30, 2020 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer..

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Guarino) Paventy of Waterbury, Connecticut. Jean was born and raised in Waterbury. She attended Sacred Heart High School and graduated from Bryant College in 1962. Jean lived in Cranston for 36 years while she raised her children. She was an Administrative Assistant at Gtech for 14 years. In 1998 she moved to Narragansett and worked as an Administrative Assistant for the University of Rhode Island Foundation in the Planned Giving Department until her retirement. Jean’s role as mother and grandmother was her greatest joy. Even after her diagnosis, her love for her family remained her focus. With grace and dignity she endured treatment, drawing strength from her children, as she courageously fought the disease that ultimately took her life. Her strength and devotion

to her children and grandchildren is her legacy.

Jean is survived by her four loving and devoted children: daughters Lori Liguori and her husband James

of Westerly, RI; Brenda Levin and her husband Carl of Narragansett, RI; Keri Ciummo and her husband

Louis of Coventry, RI; and her son David Bianchini of Narragansett, RI. She leaves behind five beloved

grandchildren: Samantha Ide and her husband Aaron of New London, Connecticut; Gabriella Kats and

her husband Brian of Brooklyn, NY; Rebecca Levin of Narragansett, RI; Daniel Ciummo and Corinne

Ciummo of Coventry, RI. Jean is also survived by three loving siblings: Benny Paventy and his wife Elise of Watertown, Connecticut; Judy Stigberg and her husband Richard of Watertown, Connecticut; and Robert Paventy and his wife Donna of Cheshire, Connecticut. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews,

great-nieces and great-nephews.

We would like to thank Janet, Joanne and Danielle from the South Home Team of Hope Hospice for the

compassionate care given to our mother and the support they showed our family.
