Job Corps volunteers clean up Sprague Mansion
GETTING THINGS IN ORDER: An energetic group of students from the Community College of Rhode Island Flanagan campus pitched in with a cleaning project at the Governor Sprague Mansion. CCRI's Volunteer Service project provides assistance for community organizations like the non-profit Cranston Historical Society, which maintains the Mansion property. Pictured from left are Francheska Santana, Cassadie Salinthane, Eddy Cezario, Jimmy Phann, Rebeca Cruz and Debbie Jordan.
CLEANING HOUSE: Exeter Job Corps members raked more than 130 bags of leaves as part of the fall cleanup project recently completed at Governor Sprague Mansion on Cranston Street. The Job Corps offers education and employment training to young people ages 16 to 24 at its Exeter site. Job Corps volunteers provide valuable assistance to the non-profit Cranston Historical Society, which maintains the buildings and grounds of the Sprague Mansion. The group is gathered here with Gregg Mierka, resident manager, pictured at far right.
