The Edgewood Congregational Church will open its Lenten Series on Sunday, March 11 at 10 a.m. with a presentation by the Environmental Justice League of Rhode Island as part of the worship service in the church sanctuary, followed by a coffee hour and discussion in the church hall. As is the case in all church activities, members of the Edgewood and surrounding communities are invited to attend.
“Feeding the Body and the Spirit” is the monthly casual service and light meal to be held on March 18 in Lower Sawyer Hall. Coffee will be served at 9:45, followed by a brief service and brunch.
Palm Sunday is on March 25, with Reverend Nancy Soukop preaching.
The Maundy Thursday Taize-inspired service, led by Michael C. Ruo, will be held at the church on March 29 at 6 p.m., followed by the Good Friday service on March 30 at 6 p.m.
The traditional Easter Sunday service will be led by Rev. Soukop. Communion is open to everyone who wishes to receive it. After the service, an Easter egg hunt will be held on the church lawn.
