Pauline M. (Durfee) Carlson, 92, died Sunday, August 4, 2019. She was the wife of the late Herman L. Carlson.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Harold E. and Marion M. (Martin) Durfee. Pauline was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1945. She was a former member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and its Philathea Circle, and was currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warwick. She was also a member of the Star Lodge #56 Vasa Order of America.

She is survived by her sons, Richard E. Carlson, and Glenn S. Carlson and his wife Dawn, and was the mother of the late Paul K. Carlson. She also leaves her grandchildren, Christopher Carlson and his wife Adreth, Curtis Carlson, Cassandra LaPlante and her husband Ron, Chelsea Ratigan and her husband Michael, and Adriana Baffoni and her husband Adam. She was the great-grandmother of Cameron Carlson, Ayden Carlson, Makayla Miaito, Mitchell Verrier, Olivia Verrier, Trevor Carlson, and Bailey Carlson. She was predeceased by her siblings: Elliot Durfee, Archie Durfee, Helen Lanoie, Marion Vaughn, Isabel Duggan, and Margaret Miller.

Her funeral will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick, with a funeral service at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Ave. (Rte. 5), Warwick. Burial in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
