ASSAULT

Officer Schaffran arrested Giovanni Broccoli, 38, of 115 First Ave. in Cranston on July 9 at 6:46 p.m. for shoplifting, simple assault, resisting arrest and a Superior Court Bench Warrant as a result of a larceny complaint at Stop and Shop at 275 Warwick Ave. He was held for morning court as a probation violator.

John Padula, 66, of 65 Oaklawn Ave. Apt. 205 in Cranston was arrested on July 9 at 7:09 p.m. by Officers Andrade and A. Hardy for felony assault/dangerous weapon or substance as a result of a disturbance call at the aforementioned address. He was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace.

At 3:10 a.m. on July 7, Officers Lynch and Mastrati arrested Terrell Taylor, 28, of 57 Donna Dr. in Cranston for domestic simple assault/battery, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, and domestic-disorderly conduct. Taylors arrest is the result of a disturbance at 312 Webster Ave. He was held overnight as a violator.

On July 6 at 10:00 a.m. Officer C. Dempsey arrested Alexander Torrado, 47, of 38 Oaklawn Ave. Apt #316 in Cranston for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct. His arrest was the result of call for a disturbance at 141 Glen Ridge Rd. He was later transported to the Third District Court for arraignment.

As a result of a disturbance call at 170 Belmont Road on July 3 at 8:25 p.m. Officer Cragin arrested Craig M. Smith, 39 of 170 Belmont Road in Cranston for three counts of simple assault, resisting arrest and domestic disorderly conduct. He was then held for arraignment.

On July 3 at 3:43 p.m. Officer Corvese arrested Christie L. Robinson, 42, of 274 Northup Street in Cranston for simple assault, resisting arrest and domestic disorderly conduct as a result of a disturbance at 274 Northup Street. She was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

At 8:05 a.m. on July 3, Officer Pento arrested Waleed Ellaham, 30, of 92 Wheeler Ave. in Cranston for domestic simple assault and battery as a result of the individual turning himself into headquarters. Ellaham was then transported to the Third District Court for arraignment.

BREAKING AND ENTERING

On July 3 at 7:03 p.m. Officer Schaffran arrested Domenic J. Nigrelli, 54, of 662 Park Avenue in Cranston for attempted breaking and entering as a result of a call for service at 604 Park Avenue. He was then held for arraignment.

DISORDERLY

On July 8 at 3:31 a.m. Detective Sohn arrested Danaisa Durant, 22, of 198 Cory St. in East Providence for disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for loud people at 6 Howard St. Durant was then held for arraignment.

Officer Bellevue arrested John Abatiello, 28, of 16 Pearce Ave. in Cranston on July 5 at 12:39 a.m. for domestic disorderly conduct as the result of a call for service at 16 Pearce Ave.He was held awaiting arraignment.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Following a motor vehicle accident in the area of 441 Dyer Ave. on July 8 at approximately 7:52 p.m., Officer Rocchio arrested Omar Caballero, 42, of 8 Maple St. in Cranston for driving under the influence first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was then held for arraignment.

Khoury D. Threats, 39, of 2 Barry Road in Providence was arrested on July 3 at 1:35 a.m. by Officer Travers for driving under the influence first offense as a result of a traffic stop at 225 Norwood Avenue. Threats was then held for arraignment.

LARCENY

On July 9 at 5:39 p.m. Officer Brown arrested Thomas L. Lamb, 72, of 11 Hudson St. in Providence for Shoplifting as a result of a larceny complaint at Marshalls located at 1355 Oaklawn Ave. He was held for morning court as a probation violator.

OBSTRUCTION

As a result of a call for loud people at 6 Howard St. on July 8 at 3:31 a.m. Detective Sohn arrested Tyla Crowder, 22, of 300 Smithfield Rd #TH12 for obstructing an officer in execution of duty. Crowder was then held for arraignment.

Following a motor vehicle stop in the area of 873 Cranston St.on July 7 at approximately 3:26 p.m. Officer Travers arrested Melvin Altan, 20, of 40 Calder St. in Providence for obstruction of justice. He was held awaiting arraignment as a violator.

On July 3 at 12:28 p.m. Officer Pento arrested Mirian Mazuelos, 41, of 86 Edgemere Ave. in Providence for obstruction of an officer in execution of duty subsequent to a traffic stop at the intersection of Pontiac Ave and Norfolk St. Mazuelos was then held for arraignment.

POSSESSION

At approximately 4:57 p.m. on July 7, Officer Burns arrested Lance Russell, 38, of 85 Colfax St. in Providence for possession of a schedule I-V drug (crack-cocaine). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Cranston St. and St. Marys Dr. He was held awaiting arraignment as a violator.

SEX OFFENDER ADDRESS

On July 8 at 12:07 a.m. Officer Burns arrested Robert Path, 53, of 30 Howard Ave for a sexual offender address change. The arrest was the result of information obtained that Path was at the aforementioned location. He was then held as a violator.

SHOPLIFTING

Following a call for service at CVS at 1776 Broad St. on July 7 at 11:49 p.m., Officers Robataille and Afonso arrested Jean Pedraza-Lacen, 24, who is homeless, for shoplifting, and two Bench Warrants from the Third District Court. Pedraza-Lacen was then held for arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.

On July 6 at 11:44 a.m. Officer Korkuc arrested Jessica Gianfrancesco, 30, of 126 Garden St, Apt #2 in Cranston for shoplifting. Her arrest was the result of a call for service at Daves Marketplace located at 550 Pontiac Ave. She was then transported to the Third District Court for arraignment.

STEALING ANIMALS

On July 8 around 7:00 p.m. Officers Sohn and Langlais arrested Melissa Goldberger, 45, of 208 Wilbur Ave. in Cranston for stealing of animals and conspiracy. Also arrested was Lee Goldberger, 60, of the same address for the same charges. The arrests were the result of a call for service at the aforementioned address. Both were then arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

WARRANTS

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 8, Officer Travers arrested Vanessa Silva, 49, of 47 Ida St. Apt. 2 in Providence for an outstanding arrest and affidavit warrant out of the East Providence Police department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Webster Ave. and Franklin Ave. She was then turned over to East Providence Police. David Merritt, 62, of 12 Old Park Ave. in Cranston was arrested on July 7 at approximately 3:25 p.m. by Officer Burns for an outstanding Third District Court bench warrant. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of 1283 Park Ave. He was later transported to the ACI Intake. As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of 1522 Broad St. on July 7 at 6:39 p.m. Officer Paccasassi arrested Shyan Ramsey, 22, of 208 California Ave. in Providence for an outstanding Sixth District Court bench warrant. Ramsay was later released by the Justice of the Peace upon payment of the warrant. On July 7 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Officer Paccasassi arrested Jennifer Martinez, 42, of 153 Narragansett St. in Cranston for an arrest and affidavit warrant out of East Providence. The arrest was the result of an attempted pickup at her residence. She was later transferred over to East Providence Police.

Officer Viens arrested Paulette Fiore, 56, of 176 Southern St. in Cranston on July 6 at 1:01 p.m. for a Third District Court bench warrant. Her arrest was the result of a call for service at 176 Southern St. She was then transported to the Third District Court for arraignment.

WEAPONS

Officers Andrade and Hardy arrested Hector Hardy, 25, of 1362 Plainfield St. #2 in Cranston on July 6 at 11:18 p.m. for weapons other than firearms prohibited. His arrest is the result of a self-initiated suspicious activity call at Cranston St. and Puritan Ave. Hardy was held overnight awaiting arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
