RI Bio Hosts Free High School Biology Curriculum Workshops for Rhode Island Educators

Posted by KyrieMcCormick

RI Bio, in partnership with Real Jobs Rhode Island and JASON Learning, will host two free workshops for Rhode Island educators to expand and deliver quality, three-dimensional learning experiences that expose students to careers and opportunities in the life sciences and health sectors.

JASON Learning’s mission is to inspire and educate students everywhere through real STEM and exploration. Its curriculum places students in challenging real-world situations where they are connected with and mentored by leading STEM professionals.

The workshop will increase teachers’ content knowledge and improve teacher effectiveness by sharing the best techniques for integrating inquiry-based learning into every lesson. RI Bio members will also be on hand to serve as role models and examples of local individuals working in the field in Rhode Island.

The workshops are free and open to all educators. A complimentary lunch will be provided. To register, please visit http://bit.ly/Smithfield1214 for Smithfield, or http://bit.ly/WestWarwick1218 for West Warwick.
