A generous gift

This past week, members of the Picerne Family Foundation along with the Foundation’s scholarship students came together to show how much they care and support for the Cranston community with a total of 54 volunteers who filled backpacks with school supplies for children in the CCAP program. More than 80 students in Cranston and Warwick will receive free school supplies and a brand-new backpack thanks to the generosity of the Picerne Family Foundation. Members from the Picerne Family Foundation, 34 of Foundation scholarship students, 5 Foundation members and 15 guests for a total of 54 people, helped to fill the backpacks for children in CCAP programs. They have begun to hand them out at CCAP’s Head Start and Family Health Centers in Cranston and Warwick this week. (Submitted photo)
