Students from the Woodridge Elementary School community participated last week in the 2018 National Walk to School Day (walkbiketoschool.org) on October 10. The event is part of a nationwide effort to encourage increased physical activity throughout the school year. According to the Walk to School website, it is the hope of the organizers and participants that events such as last week’s will lead to ongoing activities to promote walking and biking throughout the year.
