Celebrating local food On June 22, Confreda Greenhouses & Farms at 2150 Scituate Ave. in Cranston hosted its first Local Food Festival of the year. Representatives from several local companies offered free samples of their products during the event.

On June 22, Confreda Greenhouses & Farms at 2150 Scituate Ave. in Cranston hosted its first Local Food Festival of the year.

Representatives from several local companies offered free samples of their products during the event. Confreda hopes to host one or two such festivals each season to showcase the food offerings – including produce and more – that are available locally.

Among the local companies showcasing their products were Marcello Sausage, Ocean State Provisions, SoulFresh Proteins and Claudia’s Creations.
