Cranston Police Department Officer Nicholas Detroia was sworn in during a ceremony July 18 at Cranston City Hall. Detroia graduated the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy in 2014 and previously served as a police officer for the University of Rhode Island and the Charlestown Police Department.
