Members of the community gathered at Cranston Historic Cemetery #36 (CR-036), located off Park Avenue, on Sunday for an event celebrating the Cranston Historical Cemeteries Commission’s cleanup of the cemetery and honoring the historic figures buried there. Those figures include Jonathan Pitcher, one of the founding fathers of the U.S. Navy, and Elisha Arnold and James Hawkins, who were members of the original Pawtuxet Rangers. U.S. Sen.
