Over the weekend, members of the community gathered for a “Sips and Spirits” fundraiser hosted by the Caroline Caprio Scholarship & Giving Fund at the Alpine Country Club. The event raised nearly $2,500 to support Rhode Islanders who are fighting brain tumors. Pictured are members of the “Dream Team” that organizes and runs events for the fund – Caroline Caprio, Janet Robinson, Carmele Goins, Tina Medeiros, Linda Morro and Jayne Oliver. The fund’s next event will be held May 9 at the Cranston Country Club. It will feature a sit-down Italian dinner, music, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. The cost will be $65 per person.
