To the Editor:
I encourage both Congressmen Cicilline and Langevin to vote for the Sanctioning the Use of Civilians as Defenseless Shields Act. The Bipartisan bill passed in the Senate on October 11.
The Sanctioning the Use of Civilians as Defenseless Shields Act would mandate sanctions against members of Hamas and Hezbollah responsible for the use of human shields, while also punishing the governments that enable such war crimes, including Hezballah’s primary supporter, Iran. This is a bipartisan bill sponsored by Congressman Tom Suozzi and Congressman Mike Gallagher.
I urge Congressman Cicilline and Congressman Langevin to support the Sanctioning the Use of Civilians as Defenseless Shields Act when it comes up to vote.
