Thomas J. Kelly Sr., 96 of Moosup, CT and formerly of Cranston passed peacefully at home on Saturday, (12/29/2018) surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy I (Hughes) Kelly for 62 years.

Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Mary A. (McCusker) Kelly. After serving aboard the USS Gleaves during World War II, Tom was employed as the paymaster for the Cranston Print Works. He then went on to become the Bursar of Rhode Island College.

Tom is survived by his two sons; Thomas J. Kelly, Jr. of Cranston and Michael J. Kelly and his wife Deborah of Moosup, CT. Loving grandfather of Thomas and his wife Amanda, Patrick and his wife Brittany, James, Matthew, Sean Kelly and Ryan Bloschichak. Proud great-grandfather of Ava and Connor Kelly. He was the brother of the late Mary A. Harvey and father–in-law of the late Mary Elizabeth Kelly.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Funeral Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 15 Garden City Drive, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St Ann Cemetery.
