Rhode Island, What does it mean to you? Rhode Island became the 13th state to ratify the Constitution on May 29, 1790. Johnston Youth Soccer Selling Bricks

The Johnston Youth Soccer Program, in conjunction with the Johnston Community Center Association, is selling commemorative bricks as a fundraiser for the program as well as the new athletic complex. The Johnston Youth Soccer Program invites you to become a permanent part of the new fields by purchasing a commemorative brick for the new pathway. The brick can be engraved with a family name, player's name, business name or a special message. The 4 x 8-inch bricks are $125 and forms are available at the Parks & Recreation office at Memorial Park.

Girl Scouts

The Girl Scouts of RI, Inc. are sponsoring a Play-a-thon to benefit Project Undercover on June 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Camp Hoffman in West Kingston. Girl Scouts and their non-Girl Scout friends are invited to an afternoon of games and fun. Learn more about Girl Scouts. All participants are asked to bring a new, unopened package of children's, socks or diapers. These donations will be distributed by Project Undercover to Rhode Island's neediest children. Mohr Library

Attention teens! Want to have a say in the programming, the new library teen space, teen services, materials, events, book discussions, meet other new teens over an activity? Need something for your résumé or community service? A MAC (Mohr Advisory Club) is forming at the Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library in Johnston. Meetings are once a month. Indoor Yard Sale

The Cherry Hill Senior Association of Cherry Hill Apartments, 204 Greenville Ave., will have an indoor yard sale on June 6 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Community Hall. Baked goods, something for everyone. New and used items. Everyone welcome.

Polish-American Festival

The St. Adalbert's Polish-American Festival will be held June 6 from 6-11 p.m. and June 7 from 12-6 p.m. on the parish grounds at 866 Atwells Ave., Providence. Admission is free. Enjoy the famous Polish kitchen where you can get pierogi, golabki, polish pastry and more. There will be an American food outdoor grille, clam chowder, etc. outside as well as plenty of raffles, games for the kids and live entertainment. Marty Swiatek and RBO will be performing on Saturday and The Polonia Orchestra will keep everybody moving on Sunday afternoon. Free parking.
